i am sometimes amazed on how unappreciative some companies are of tracking their customer’s activities online.
not out of dismissiveness, though, but rather because still a lot of digital marketers don’t seem to understand the real value.
web analytics are, even though not always correct into the single digits, hard facts. they prove if someone is actually looking at the stuff you splash out the (not so) big money on.
digital advertising has the lovely advantage of being measureable. and for that, you need analytics tools.
and then go a step further, implement a proper E-CRM system (NOT siebel) and tie everything together. you’d be amazed on what you’d get out of this.
just do a google search, dammit.

Remember this song? Ming Xia (the female singer) has one of the most distinctive voices I’ve heard in the past 10 years. It’s sad she never launched a solo career (cause the rappers are shit).
i like google’s products. the search, the apps (the mail, most importantly). they’re smart and absolutely a charm to use. built by smart people.who might think they’re gods, but well, they build great products.
but one advice, google: stop hiring assholes and dickheads who sell your crap to people paying you already half of all their digital advertising spend. its not good business practice to make people feel like they have to be grateful for you to take their money. keep doing this for a while, piss off just the right amount of people, start a bad pr avalanche and yahoo’s as well as microsoft’s problems with their search engines and ad platforms will change. you’re acting like a monopoly already. look at what firefox did to the internet explorer.
i’d suggest you add some humble pie to the free sushi.
